How to Add Background Music to Your Slideshow

Background music turns a silent slideshow into part of the party. You pick a music station and the slideshow shuffles and loops it while photos play. It is available on the Plus plan and above, and every track is licensed and cleared for EventPix.photo slideshows.

  1. 1

Open your album's Background Music setting

On the Plus plan and up, open the album's Settings and turn on Background Music.

  2. 2

Pick a station to match the mood

Choose a music collection — a themed station like upbeat, romantic, or ambient. The slideshow shuffles and loops it automatically.

  3. 3

Open the slideshow on your screen

Start the slideshow on your TV or projector. Some screens block sound until someone taps once — the slideshow shows a one-tap prompt to enable music when that happens.

  4. 4

Control the volume in the room

The slideshow screen has a mute button and a volume slider, remembered per device, so the room's sound is easy to set and nobody silences it by accident.

Frequently asked questions

Is the music licensed?

Yes. Every track is licensed and cleared for use on EventPix.photo slideshows, so there is nothing for you to sort out.

Can I use my own music file?

You choose from the built-in licensed stations rather than uploading your own file. This keeps every slideshow properly licensed for playback at your event.

Why is there no sound when the slideshow starts?

Some browsers and TVs block autoplay sound until someone interacts with the screen. The slideshow shows a one-tap "enable music" prompt — tap it once and the music plays.

Which plan includes background music?

Background music is available on the Plus plan and above. If you do not turn it on, the slideshow simply stays silent.
